Astra Driving School

I only had two weeks to prepare before my driving test, so finding the right driving school and instructor was very important. I found Astra Driving School through Google after reading their excellent reviews, and I’m so glad I chose them. I was assigned to Mr. Hammad, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping me succeed. During our first lesson, he carefully assessed my driving skills and created a structured plan that focused on the areas I needed to improve. Having driven in another country, I had developed habits that were different from UK driving standards. Mr. Hammad patiently helped me unlearn those habits and replace them with the correct techniques needed for safe driving and the practical test. He was calm, patient, and encouraging throughout every lesson, which helped me feel relaxed and confident behind the wheel. He made excellent use of every minute of our lessons, ensuring I got the most out of my limited preparation time. The training car was always reliable and in excellent condition. Thanks to Mr. Hammad’s expert guidance and support, I passed my driving test after just two weeks of preparation. I highly recommend Astra Driving School and especially Mr. Hammad to anyone looking for a professional, patient, and dedicated driving instructor. Thank you for helping me achieve this milestone!

5/5 Stars – I couldn’t have passed without Abhi! After failing my test twice with previous instructors, my confidence was completely shot. Finding Abhi was a complete game-changer. She is extraordinarily patient and never gave up on me, even when I was doubting myself. What makes Abhi stand out is her teaching style. She doesn't unnecessarily grab the wheel or interrupt your flow while you're driving, which really helps build independence. Instead, she lets you drive naturally while ensuring you're fully aware of every major and minor mistake so you can actually learn from them. She is incredibly organized—she tracks every route you take, plans ahead for every lesson, and is genuinely invested in your success. Most importantly, Abhi is not money-minded at all; her primary goal is truly to turn you into a safe, confident driver for life. If you want an instructor who actually cares, book with Abhi. Thank you so much for getting me over the finish line!

I gotta first thanks to my driving instructor Haroon 🙏🙏 I was struggling to find time and also find someone who truly give its all for me to pass my exam. Cause ıve take driving lessons from 2 different private instructor but non of em is take care of teaching me as much as Haroon did. Always on time to meet, explain me everything really well, suggest me videos to watch, keep answering and revising my answer over and over. Take me to the exams routes and tell me all the keywords about each route. Give his best to make it happen. Always keep me relaxed when ı say ım getting stress about exam. Idk how many things ı can write about his support but in the end he is the reason that ıve made it 🎉🎉🎉 Secondly Astra Driving School Services was great aswell, ı give them a call and sort my lessons in just 10min. Price is reasonable and the instructors location was really close to my house. They did a great job about matching customers and instructors. Everything is perfect and ım really glad ı pick this companys services rather than others. Highly recommended, its worth every penny 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Recently passed, first time! Reza was my driving instructor and he was great. He helped me relax (even though that was difficult sometimes) and kept me focussed, put me in challenging situations to improve my skills and had some laughs and jokes along the way. I highly recommend him for you driving lessons.

A huge thank you to Misbah Shah for being such a professional and supportive instructor. After just two lessons, I passed my test at Bredbury. Your clear guidance, patience, and confidence made all the difference. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an excellent driving instructor. Thank you once again!

I couldn’t recommend Dean highly enough! From my very first lesson, he was incredibly calm, patient and brilliant at explaining everything in a way that made sense. As someone who genuinely couldn’t even stand the thought of being in a car, he gave me so much confidence and completely changed the way I felt about driving. One of the things I found most helpful was the way he taught. He’d explain things clearly using diagrams, talk everything through, and then trust you to put it into practice, which really helped build my confidence and independence behind the wheel. Dean was always on time, flexible around my schedule, and every lesson felt personalised because he always knew exactly what I needed to work on next. On top of being an excellent instructor, he was great company in the car, which made every lesson enjoyable and relaxed. Thanks to Dean, I passed my test first time, something I never thought I’d be able to say when I first started learning. I genuinely can’t thank him enough and would recommend him to absolutely anyone looking to learn to drive.

I came to Astra Driving School after a very bad experience with my first driving instructor, which really affected my confidence. However, Mr. Hamayon Shahzad was incredibly patient and supportive, and he helped me regain that confidence step by step. His teaching style made a big difference, especially in helping me feel in control of the vehicle and comfortable on the road. I’m very grateful for his guidance and would highly recommend Astra Driving School to anyone looking for a positive and professional learning experience.

Having years of driving experience in India, I mainly needed guidance on UK driving standards and test expectations. Mr. Ajmal has been fantastic in helping me make that transition. He’s patient, cooperative, and very encouraging. He allows you to learn at your own pace while focusing on the small details that make you a safe and confident driver on UK roads. Every lesson has been productive and enjoyable, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive or adapting to driving in the UK.

Absolutely delighted to have passed my driving test 🚗 in first attempt on 22nd of May with only 14 lessons, Thank God. A massive thanks to my instructor Sir Arslan for all the patience, encouragement, and support throughout my lessons. From the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable and helped build my confidence on the road step by step. Learning to drive can be quite nerve-racking at times, but his calm approach and guidance made such a difference. I genuinely appreciate all the time and effort he put into helping me pass. I’d highly recommend this driving school to anyone looking for a professional, friendly, and supportive instructor. I would not appreciate anyone to take 14 lessons to pass because then you would have a lot of pressure to learn everything in short time so please give yourself enough time to digest and practice 🙂 My sister also passed her driving test in 1st attempt by different instructor but with the same school. Thanks again!

I passed my driving test on my 1st attempt thanks to Abi at Astra Driving School! Her lessons were incredibly clear and easy to understand. She didn't just help me pass the test; she taught me safe driving skills that will stay with me forever. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and supportive instructor.

My mum took refresher classes from Irfan Ahmed He was really good tutor and my mum was very comfortable driving with him. He was very flexible with the timings. I highly recommend him to others.

I just passed my driving test at Sale Test Centre! Anmol is a brilliant instructor. She is incredibly reliable, punctual and patient. She really helped me build my confidence on the road and made sure I was fully prepared. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy instructor. Thanks Anmol :)

I passed my test on the first attempt thanks to Hamza. He helped me when I had 0 hours of driving and helped prepared me in 2 months with 23 hours of driving. I highly recommend Astra driving school for anyone that’s looking to pass as soon as possible.

I would like to thank Anmol from the bottom of my heart for everything she has taught me! Thanks to her, I passed my driving test on the first attempt. She is an amazing instructor — very patient, calm, and she explains everything down to the smallest detail, making sure you fully understand before moving on. She made me feel confident and supported throughout the whole learning process. I cannot recommend her enough 💕

I had a great experience with Astra Driving School Manchester! The center was extremely quick to respond to all my inquiries. A huge thanks to my instructor, Arslan Khawar. He was very clear and insightful about my strengths and areas for improvement. He was completely honest and only had me take the exact number of lessons I actually needed, without pushing for unnecessary extras. Highly recommended!
